The SUMMIT EVO classic mountaineering ice axe is an essential tool for all types of alpine ascents. Lightweight, its hydroformed shaft offers excellent comfort when gripping below the axe head. The technical design of the handle's curvature provides the necessary separation distance for use on vertical and icy terrain. The forged, well-balanced head provides excellent anchoring qualities. The grip on the handle makes it a precise and effective ice axe.

Hydroformed handle for a good grip on the handle and a technical design:

- The handle is curved at the top, providing good separation distance when climbing.

- The lower part is straighter, ensuring effective penetration into the snow.

Hot-forged steel head and blade, ensuring solid anchoring:

- Thin (3 mm), robust blade with serrated edge for good anchoring in hard snow and ice.

- Thicker blade in the centre for better grip in soft snow.

- Teeth at the top of the blade to reinforce the ice axe's grip when used as a ramp.

- Sturdy stainless steel spike for very good penetration in hard snow and as an ice axe-walking stick.

High resistance and practical features:

- Very resistant steel blade with a comfortable support surface and an edge design that allows for effective step carving.

- Sloped blade to correctly guide the ice axe in the snow (use as an ice axe-walking stick).

- Head and basket equipped with holes for attaching a carabiner or strap.

- High-quality aluminium shaft (7075 aluminium used in aeronautics), with anodised finish for excellent protection.

Ice axe compatible with the LINKIN wrist strap.
