The FutureLight technology developed by The North Face is a revolution in waterproof membranes, it is the first time that air permeability is applied as a feature of waterproof membranes, unlike conventional membranes it contains a nanostructure that allows air to circulate through the fabric, which improves ventilation and breathability without affecting strength or waterproofing. This nano-fiber structure has made it possible to create a much lighter and more breathable membrane to date. An ultra-lightweight fabric that protects against the elements in the most extreme environments without sacrificing comfort. 

The reinforced tongue prevents pebbles from penetrating the trail, while the ESS Snake Plate system reduces stone bruising. The OrthoLite footbed offers lasting comfort and the Vibram XS Trek outsole provides firm grip on a variety of surfaces. Thanks to their breathable, waterproof FutureLight membrane, they breathe as much as you do when you're tackling steep sections.
