Its sturdy polyamide sling stays firmly on the wall without twisting, so the carabiner will always maintain the desired orientation. The lower carabiner stays in place thanks to the oblique stitching that follows its shape. In the centre, its genuine safety stitching makes it unmistakable. The Puput is designed for intensive use in all types of wall activities.

The name Puput refers to the bird ‘Upupa epops’ with a characteristic nose that inspired our carabiner.

Conical nose: Its pointed, conical nose makes it easy to insert the carabiner into plates, pitons or other connection elements precisely and smoothly without catching on any curves of the carabiner. At the same time, this geometry allows for easy removal from the route.

Snagfree: The lower part of the nose is smoothed to facilitate the manoeuvre of removing the carabiner from the bolt and rope.

Keylock: Its Keylock closure prevents the carabiner from snagging on the rope or bolt.

Versatile size: Its proportions offer great manoeuvrability for all types of situations on the wall. With a height of 100 mm, width of 64 mm, and opening range of 24 mm and 26 mm in its straight and curved versions respectively. Made of 7075 aluminium.

Wide contact area: Its 10.5 mm width allows the rope to be worked over a larger radius. This extends the useful life of both elements, rope and carabiner.

Rigidity: The triple-layer structure of the sling gives it extra rigidity, preventing any twisting. The carabiners always remain oriented in their initial position.

Polyamide sling: Made from the same material as dynamic climbing ropes, polyamide. A highly resistant material to extend the useful life of the assembly.

Oblique stitching: The lower carabiner is secured by oblique stitching that adapts to its shape and keeps it firmly in place.

Genuine: The central safety seam has a genuine shape that makes it unmistakable.

Strength: Compliant with EN 12275, its strengths are 22 kN vertically, 8 kN horizontally and 8 kN vertically with the gate open.
