Opinel number 8 pocket knife with an excellent blade made of 2.5 mm thick stainless steel. It incorporates a partially serrated edge (to cut ribbons and ropes) and has a slot for opening shackles between 4 and 10 mm, the handle incorporates a whistle without a ball that always works.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Material: High hardness martensitic stainless steel due to the addition of nitrogen (0.15%) and superior corrosion resistance due to high chromium content (16%).
- Safe: Invented by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is on all knives that close from No. 06 on. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc is made up of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety in use), it is now possible to close the blade in the closed position (safe transport)
- The handle is injected with fiberglass-filled polyamide that guarantees great resistance to shocks, water and extreme temperatures (-40ºC to + 80ºC). Whistle without ball integrated in the handle (works in all weather conditions) with a power of 110 dB and a range of about 300 meters in open space.
