Within the layering system developed by The North Face this jacket is located within the Outer Layer garments, it is the layer furthest away from the skin and contains two key advantages; it creates a protective barrier that prevents wind and rain from penetrating the garment, the breathable fabric also keeps the inside dry. The North Face has created a wide range of waterproof garments with patented DryVent technology. It can be easily identified by the identifying logo on the sleeves of the garments.
